It is believed that a better sustainability profile will not only improve the reputation of the company but it will also help the economics of the company in the long term. One of the major problems that are identified within the company is related to the improvement of the packaging of the product that is presently made from polypropylene. It is expected to introduce a more sustainable method of packaging that will be more environmentally friendly. Another problem that is identified is related to the manufacture of the health bars that consumes large quantities of water. They are modified from collagen that is a type of rubber. The best solution to avoid the usage of polypropylene as a packaging material is recycling of packaging materials. This can also be executed with the help of advancement in technology that will lead to reprocessing of recyclable plastics. They should manufacture food in glass jars rather than plastic jars. Plastic bottles are also considered as litter that are found on beaches. Plastic bags not only pose danger to wildlife but also to human eyes (North and Halden 2013).
